Welcome to codepoints.org!

This website is intended as a tool to find codepoints used in internet protocols. The base is a mirror of the registries at IANA, but we accept other sources as well. Our aim is to document what is in use as completely as possible, whether it is an official codepoint or not. Where possible we provide references to where the codepoint is defined.

Document your own codepoints

If you use non-standard codepoints in your (employer's, open source or private) products/projects, please contact us and we'll create an account for you. You will then be able to document the codepoints you use in this database, even if your usage is not (yet) approved by the official authority (IETF, IEEE, …). That way everyone can see who is using which codepoints for which purpose, which codepoints are used and which are not etc. We aim to document reality without judging!
